Mariah Carey may have delayed her next album indefinitely, but she still went all out for a gold-kissed performance of a remix to her single “#Beautiful.”
Just when you thought Mariah might be done with her obsession with throwing rappers on her perfectly lovely R&B songs, here is
Young Jeezy to grunt and mumble on Mariah’s otherwise lovely duet with Miguel, “#Beautiful.”
The weirdest thing about this whole performance though was how Mimi encased herself in a golden cylinder with elaborate chandeliers in complete isolation from her collaborators
Miguel and Young Jeezy. In fact, the cameraman couldn’t even be bothered to focus on Miguel during his hook. What’s the point of being a feature whore if you’re going to pretend like they don’t even exist?
Oh, and notice how Mariah decided to let the track do most of the heavy lifting. She wasn’t about to have a repeat of that wildly embarrassing
Good Morning America “
incident” so you can’t really blame her.
